Now Available: A Complete Flight Operations and Cabin Communications Service

ORLANDO -- Honeywell and Satcom Direct Inc. have joined forces to offer aircraft operators a single flight support and cabin communications service.

“Honeywell and Satcom Direct will now offer complete satellite communications and flight support services,” says Rob Wilson, President, Honeywell Business & General Aviation. “This new collaboration enables us to deliver proven technologies and customer service capabilities that provide more value to our customers, in effect, a single source solution for staying connected seamlessly while in flight.”

“Working with Honeywell allows us to combine Satcom Direct’s strength in delivering satellite-based service solutions with the integrity and recognition of the Honeywell name,” says Jim Jensen, founder and owner of Satcom Direct.

Purchasing flight support and cabin communication services as a comprehensive package helps operators avoid the time and cost of managing multiple contracts and suppliers. The services in the package include accurate flight planning information, reliable e-mail and data communication, and satellite TV.

This joint effort offers operators increased flexibility to choose the services they need to meet their specific business requirements. In addition to a complete, single source solution, they also have the option to continue buying the services they need separately from Honeywell and Satcom Direct.

As part of the agreement, Satcom Direct also will take over the support and account management of Honeywell’s existing cabin services, including OneLink, OneView and Jetmap2.

“Honeywell customers value OneLink, OneView and JetMap2 communication solutions," says Wilson. "Our agreement with Satcom Direct includes the support and service of these programs. This is a win-win for aircraft operators who benefit from Satcom Direct’s service and support and Honeywell’s outstanding technology and global connectivity.”
