Continental Airlines Contributes $50 Million to its Pension Plans

Move exceeds minimum funding requirement for the current period.

HOUSTON -- Continental Airlines announces that it has contributed $50 million in cash to its defined benefit pension plans, exceeding its minimum funding requirement for the current period.

"Investing in our co-workers' futures is more important than ever in these challenging economic times," says Chairman and CEO Larry Kellner. "We will remain focused on their retirement security."
