Eagan, MN - Aerospace Welding Minneapolis Inc. (AWI) announces it has gained Part 145 EASA approval (certificate #EASA.145.6155). The certificate has been issued under the terms of the current Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) and the associated Maintenance Implementation Procedures (MIP). The new certification allows AWI to export all overhauled and repaired parts to customers in any EASA member country.

"EASA certification is further proof of the high quality of all of our work, and the responsiveness we show every customer. This latest step in globalization will help us to further serve the aviation industry worldwide," says Tom Heid, President of AWI.

In addition, AWI is pleased to announce that its staff includes a FAA designee with DMIR (Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative) status. This allows for the issuance of Export Certificates of Airworthiness on all of the Aero-Power brand parts for which AWI holds an FAA-PMA.

Aerospace Welding Minneapolis Inc. is an FAA-Certified Repair Station for weld repairs (CRS# UWDR792L). For more information visit www.awi-ami.com.
