Heli-Lynx Becomes an Official Sales Center for Honeywell 700D-2 Engine
ANAHEIM, CA -- Heli-Lynx Helicopters and Honeywell International announce that the two companies would extend their existing agreement on the Honeywell LTS101-600A3-A engine to also encompass the LTS101-700D-2.
For the last year, Heli-Lynx has been an official service center for both the 600A3-A and the 700D-2, and a sales centre for the A3-A. Now, with the expanded terms of the agreement, Heli-Lynx becomes an official sales centre for the D-2 as well. Additionally, both Honeywell engines have, for some time, figured prominently in the Heli-Lynx 350FX STC, with the 600A3-A powering the 350FX1 and the 700D-2 driving the 350FX2.
"That means we can not only continue to help existing customers with their service requirements," says Heli-Lynx chief operating officer Gerard Palmer, "but can now sell spare parts and components for both engines … and of course sell both engines, too. This will definitely help reduce procurement costs for customers who choose either of these two powerful and efficient engines, and it is a big honour for us. We're very pleased at the confidence Honeywell has shown in our aviation support services, our engineering, and our STC products."
"Our latest agreement with Heli-Lynx transforms our relationship and allows us to work together, independently," says Doug Kult, sales director for Honeywell. "Heli-Lynx will now have direct access to both time-continued LTS101 engines and the new production engines when they become available next year."
The announcement of this agreement comes on the heels of Honeywell's own news that it would be putting the 700D-2 back into production. Those new engines and their related accessories are scheduled to be available in the first quarter of 2010.
"As the 700D-2 plays such an important role in our 350FX STC, it's exciting news for us and our customers to hear that Honeywell is re-entering production with this reliable powerplant," says Palmer. "To be one of the centers that brings it to the customer base, and continues to maintain its dependability, is a responsibility we take very seriously."
