Gulfstream Names Bill M. Williams Vice President of Materials
SAVANNAH, GA – Gulfstream Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, has appointed Bill M. Williams as vice president of materials. Williams formerly served as vice president of product support materials at Gulfstream.
As of March 2, Williams will be responsible for all initial phase, final phase, and advanced procurement as well as materials management. He will report to Dennis Stuligross, senior vice president, Operations. Williams succeeds Jim McQueeney, who is retiring after 20 years at Gulfstream.
Williams came to Gulfstream in 2005 as the director of initial phase, product development, and special missions procurement. Before joining Gulfstream, he worked for GKN Aerospace in Hazelwood, MO, as vice president of supply chain management, director of strategic sourcing and senior director of supply chain and information technology.
Williams’ background also includes strategic sourcing, purchasing, and buying positions with TRW Aeronautical Systems, Saturn Manufacturing Corp., Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corp., and Ingersoll Rand’s Air Compressor Division.
Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and information systems from Lambuth College in Jackson, TN.
