AERO Friedrichshafen to Host Helicopter Hall

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, GERMANY – AERO Friedrichshafen, Europe's foremost general aviation trade show, will be held April 2-5, 2009. The Helicopter Hangar in Hall A6 will serve as the first AERO venue devoted to modern as well as conventional helicopters and gyrocopters, providing an historical and contemporary overview of this area of aviation.

The training of helicopter aviation personnel will be presented as the central topic at AERO. A lecture covering helicopter engineering and aerodynamics held several times a day will be open to the public in order to provide insight into how helicopters work and what makes them fly. Those interested in becoming pilots can undergo a preliminary physical check-up at the aeromedical examination center.
