Shadin Avionics Names Dan Nelson CEO

Nelson brings nine years of aerospace industry experience and 10 years of business leadership to new role.

MINNEAPOLIS - Shadin Avionics announces that Dan Nelson was appointed to serve as its Chief Executive Officer starting Feb. 23, 2009.

"We have made many positive changes this past year at Shadin Avionics, and Nelson has the leadership and experience needed to continue our positive momentum," says Robert J. Wright, Chairman of The Wright Group (TWG) which owns Shadin Avionics.

Nelson brings nine years of aerospace industry experience with Rosemount and Honeywell in addition to 10 years of business leadership with companies such as ATMI Inc. and Nanovance Inc. He has managed primary and secondary air data sensor programs for the F-22, Paveway, and cruise missile programs, and is a licensed pilot. Nelson earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in electrical engineering and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
