Lufthansa Technik Staff Given Ultimatum

Management says 465 jobs will be at risk if staff do not accept cost cuts.

DUBLIN -- Staff at aircraft engine facility Lufthansa Technik Airmotive have been warned to accept a cost-cutting package by tomorrow.

If staff do not accept the offer, mangement say a $40m (€30m) investment programme will not go ahead and 465 jobs will be at risk.

The aircraft engines currently maintained at the Rathcoole facility in Dublin will soon be obsolete.
