Fujairah Airport to Get Maintenance Facility

A Dh50 million aircraft maintenance facility is to be built at Fujairah International Airport (FIA) following the signing of an agreement with French company Europe Aviation.

The venture will create 300 jobs, half of which will be reserved for UAE national graduates from Higher Colleges of Technology. Europe Vision will bear the entire cost of setting up the facility and provide training.

Construction will start within the next few weeks and is due to be completed by the middle of next year. The centre will be able to handle four Airbus A320s or two larger Airbus or Boeing planes at one time and will serve the Middle East and East Asia.
