San Antonio Aerospace Responds to Media Reports on Hiring, Layoffs

San Antonio Aerospace workers want to set the record straight.

The aircraft repair company has nearly 1,000 employees, and from 100 to 150 employees come from Mexico and the Philippines, said Chye Kiat Ang, president of VT Aerospace, its parent company.

"They are as good as any American worker," Ang said.

Ang and a group of employees from San Antonio Aerospace sat down Thursday afternoon in the company's conference room to answer questions about its operations at the San Antonio International Airport.
