General Dynamics Aviation Services Names Richard McMillon General Manager at Las Vegas Site

McMillon has worked as the Las Vegas Service Center operations manager since June 2008; he replaces Brian Waymire who has returned to Gulfstream headquarters.

SAVANNAH, Ga., August 25, 2009 — Richard McMillon has been named general manager of the General Dynamics Aviation Services facility at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, replacing Brian Waymire, who has returned to Gulfstream Aerospace headquarters in Savannah. McMillon has worked as the Las Vegas Service Center operations manager since June 2008.

As general manager, McMillon oversees all aspects of the maintenance, repair and overhaul facility that services Challenger, Falcon, Gulfstream, Hawker and other business-jet aircraft.

McMillon joined Gulfstream in 1997 as a crew chief at the Savannah Service Center. In 2000, he became maintenance supervisor at the Gulfstream Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) operation at Chievres Air Base in Belgium. He was later promoted to manager at the site, which supports the Supreme Allied Commander-Europe.

McMillon, who holds an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, reports to Becky Johnson, vice president and general manager of the Gulfstream Aerospace facility in Long Beach, Calif. General Dynamics Aviation Services and Gulfstream are wholly owned subsidiaries of General Dynamics.
