Derco Repair Services is one of fewer than 60 U.S. repair stations certified to this standard.

MILWAUKEE, Wis., Sept. 10, 2009 – Derco Aerospace, Inc., a Sikorsky Aerospace Services company, announced its Repair Services division recently became certified to the AS9110 aerospace quality standard after passing a certification audit by the Performance Review Institute (PRI). Sikorsky Aerospace Services is the worldwide aftermarket business of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Derco Repair Services’ AS9110 quality certification demonstrates the division’s dedication to maintaining processes and procedures to ensure customers receive the highest quality products in the aerospace industry. Derco Repair Services is one of fewer than 60 U.S. repair stations certified to this standard. The new AS9110 quality standard was developed by aerospace professionals to ensure aerospace industry standards and requirements are being met by aerospace maintenance organizations. AS9110 incorporates the requirements of ISO 9001: 2000 and specifies additional requirements necessary to maintain a quality management system for the aerospace maintenance industry.

“This important certification demonstrates our commitment to meeting and exceeding the rigorous aerospace quality requirements established by this standard,” said Scott Gluck, Derco’s Director of Quality Assurance. “Derco continues to provide our customers with the same high level of service and quality they have come to expect.”

PRI provides international, unbiased, independent manufacturing process and product assessments and certification services for adding value, reducing total cost, and facilitating relationships between primes and suppliers.
