LINCOLN, NEB. — Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that Lee Bowes has been named the company’s Southwest Regional Manager. In this position, Bowes will help operators in Nevada, Arizona and Southern California become more familiar with the capabilities and services offered by Duncan Aviation, including airframe and engine maintenance, paint, interior, avionics installations, avionics/instrument/accessory repair and overhaul, and parts support.

Doug Alleman, Regional Manager Supervisor, says, “Lee will be a helpful and knowledgeable resource for customers and prospects in his area. I think he will add value to operators in the Southwest United States because he is familiar with the breadth of Duncan Aviation’s services and has background in many different areas.”

Bowes began his career with Duncan Aviation in 1999 as a Marketing Specialist, where he worked on marketing materials including press releases, magazine articles, postcards and presentations. In 2006, Lee joined the newly formed “Component Solutions” team, which is a combination of Duncan Aviation’s prop, accessory, avionics and instrument shops, as well as parts and the satellite avionics network. His role with this group was, in essence, that of a “Regional Manager.” In the summer of 2008, he helped organize and drove most of the miles that took Duncan Aviation’s “Straight Talk Live” satcom van to each of the satellite shops and many stops between. This tour covered 14,000 miles and had Bowes on the road for nearly three consecutive months.

Bowes grew up around Duncan Aviation, spending countless hours at the facility while helping his father, who was a metal fabricator and pilot for Duncan Aviation from 1974 to 1989.

Bowes has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he has also served as an adjunct professor. He is an instrument-rated pilot, has more than 100 skydives and enjoys playing music locally and regionally.
