NBAA 2006, Orlando (Oct. 19, 2006) - Today, BizJet International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of VIP & Executive Jet Solutions specialist Lufthansa Technik, announced the foundation of a support network for VIP and business jet operators in North America. Effective immediately Penta Aviation Services (Vancouver, BC), Western Jet Aviation, Inc., Thornton Aircraft Company (both (Van Nuys, CA), Palwaukee Service Center (Wheeling, IL), and FirstFlight (Elmira, NY) will work hand-in-hand with BizJet International.

"By combining our strong points with our partners' strengths, BizJet aims to simplify aircraft and engine maintenance by shortening aircraft downtime with local, experienced partners," stated Bernd Kowalewski, President and Chief Executive Officer at BizJet International. Each member of BizJet's Partnership Network offers specially-trained technicians and experienced customer service representatives to provide customers with cost-effective business aviation solutions throughout the United States and Canada.

BizJet International itself is part of Lufthansa Technik's Platinet network. Founded in 2004 this Global Support Network offers VIP customer service worldwide under the motto "Get me home" whatever the problem encountered by a customer anywhere on earth. The package includes technical, operational and logistical services. In the event of an AOG a dedicated rapid response team of specialists is assembled within three hours and dispatched by the fastest means, if necessary by special flight. Platinet can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via a hotline (+800 PLATINET / +800 75284638) connected directly to the project manager on duty - in more than 45 countries even toll-free.

After receiving FAA approval (Federal Aviation Administration) to perform maintenance work up to the 36-month-check on the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) the company was able to strengthen is position as BBJ service facility in the US. The company has already a year-long experience in BBJ and Boeing 737 paintjobs and houses Lufthansa Technik's Airlines Support Teams AST for AOG engine services e.g. on CFM56s.
