Bombardier today announced the appointment of Gate V Aircraft Maintenance GmbH in Vienna, Austria, as an Aircraft-On-Ground/Line Maintenance Facility (AOG/LMF) for Bombardier Learjet aircraft. This is the fourth service facility added to the growing European Customer Services network in the past six months, reaffirming Bombardier’s commitment to providing world-class customer support. This includes two facilities in the United Kingdom and a hangar expansion at Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services in Berlin, Germany.

"The addition of Gate V will be invaluable to Learjet operators, expanding their access to quality service in Europe to nine facilities," said James Hoblyn, senior vice-president, customer experience, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Ultimately, this contributes to aircraft availability, a cornerstone in providing service excellence to our customers."

Bombardier Learjet aircraft operators now have ready access to line maintenance and round-the-clock AOG assistance at the Gate V facility at Vienna’s International Airport. With approximately 60 corporate aircraft flights daily, the airport is a hub for business aviation between Eastern and Western Europe. The AOG/LMF has 2,500 square meters (26,909 sq. ft.) of hangar space and a dedicated airfield. With 40 years of experience, and a current staff of 16 technicians, Gate V delivers a full range of line maintenance and scheduled service on airframes, power plants, and avionics equipment.

"Our experienced technicians have been servicing Learjet 55 aircraft for over 20 years, and Learjet 45 and Learjet 60 jets more recently," said Stefan Wenger, Managing Director, Gate V Aircraft Maintenance GmbH. "We are excited about this new relationship with Bombardier and look forward to applying our expertise to the full range of Learjet aircraft."

Bombardier's worldwide Authorized Service Facility (ASF) and AOG/Line Maintenance Facility (AOG/LMF) network has been established to provide the highest quality of aircraft maintenance support for its operators around the globe. The Gate V facility in Vienna is the 12th facility for Bombardier aircraft in Europe, and one of 40 facilities worldwide providing maintenance support and AOG capabilities.
