About Aircraft De-Icing Fluids From Dow
UCAR™ Aircraft Deicing Fluids from Dow help maintain winter aviation safety while contributing to on-time flight departure performance. Dow offers a full line of propylene glycol and ethylene glycol-based aircraft deicing fluids (SAE Type I) and anti-icing fluids (SAE Type IV). Type I fluids are formulated to remove snow, frost or ice on parked aircraft. Type IV fluids are applied after use of Type I fluids, when departure congestion and cold weather conditions would require a repeated application of Type I fluid. Type IV fluid offers greater protection times, and reduces use of Type I Fluid and manpower requirements. Type IV fluids can also be applied to clean aircraft when freezing rain or frost conditions are forecast to reduce deicing time and reduce the amount of fluid used to remove ice accumulation. www.ucaradf.comAbout Dow
