Frankfurt-based MRO service provider HAITEC has awarded A J Walter Aviation, the world’s leading independent aircraft spares specialist, a 3 year contract to manage its component repair and overhaul requirements from January 2011.

HAITEC is taking advantage of the AJW streamlined vendor supply chain and the many benefits AJW is able to offer through supporting over 700 customers and in excess of 350 aircraft under contract. Being an independent, AJW has the flexibility to choose only the best performing repair shops, enabling these quality services to be passed on to all its customers.

HAITEC established its new MRO facility at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport in 2008 and specialises in line and selected base maintenance on A320 family and Boeing series aircraft.

Annually AJW spends over $100m on more than 25,000 individual repair orders. “This gives us considerable buying power which allows us to offer very competitive pricing, turn times and warranties” explains MRO Director, Conrad Vandersluis. “We have worked hard to build this advantageous position within the aviation industry and our experienced team is now available to work directly for airlines, and MROs like HAITEC, who are seeking to drive costs out of their business and improve their asset management. By utilising our significant modern Airbus and Boeing inventories AJW is able to underwrite this service with delivery guarantees, and offer complete commercial flexibility to suit all operational budgets.”

AJW has recently won international awards for its MRO management and AOG services which form part of a complete 24/7 world class component support operation.
