London, February 16th 2011: A J Walter Aviation’s new Aircraft Engine Services division will be based in Wales. The world leading component support specialist has chosen Merthyr Tydfil to locate its experienced team, secure in the knowledge that the engineering infrastructure and educational focus from local aerospace colleges will underpin the Company’s ambitious growth programme.

With support from the Welsh Assembly Government, which encourages investment and business development across the region, AJW is committed to developing a significant multimillion dollar engine business within the next two years. The Company plans to become a major player in the engine sales, exchange, lease and management sector by combining its established commercial and service excellence with this new technical expertise and the further competence available from this expanding centre of excellence in Wales.
