TIMCO Rebrands Brice Seating as a Unit of TIMCO Aerosystems

April 18, 2011
Brice has operated as a part of the TIMCO family of companies since it was acquired in 2002.

Greensboro, North Carolina – 18 April 2011…TIMCO Aviation Services (“TIMCO”) announced today that Brice Seating (“Brice”) is being rebranded as a product unit of TIMCO Aerosystems, TIMCO’s interiors engineering and manufacturing group. The move is being made to more clearly convey the full breadth of interiors capabilities and products provided by TIMCO Aerosystems.

Brice has operated as a part of the TIMCO family of companies since it was acquired in 2002. In recent years, it has gained recognition for its FeatherWeight™ line of light weight aircraft seats. The seating unit will continue to operate from its expanding facilities in California, as well as at new production facilities in North Carolina, near TIMCO’s headquarters.

Rick Salanitri, President of TIMCO Aerosystems said, “Rebranding our seat unit will more closely align it with the rest of our growing interiors business, thereby removing an element of confusion that existed in the market. This change in names will accentuate the consistent approach we have taken with all of our products through the use of innovative materials and engineering design to create the best passenger comfort while helping to reduce our customers’ spend on fuel.”

TIMCO Aviation Services is one of the world’s largest independent aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) companies, providing operators with base maintenance, engine MRO and line services through the TIMCO LineCare network. The company’s TIMCO Aerosystems business is one of a select few companies that can support its customers with a full spectrum of cabin solutions including state-of-the-art design engineering; interiors products including the FeatherWeight™ line of galleys, lavatories and seating; integration project management; and certification services under its FAA ODA Authority.
