Alenia North America Announces the Appointment of Ronald Colunga as Director, Aftermarket and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul

Colunga will lead Alenia North America's efforts in the aftermarket and MRO sector.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - May 17, 2011 - Alenia North America, a subsidiary of Alenia Aeronautica (a Finmeccanica Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Colunga as Director, Aftermarket and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO). In this new role, Mr. Colunga will lead Alenia North America's efforts in the aftermarket and MRO sector. He brings 40 years of aerospace maintenance, logistics and transportation experience to this position.

Just prior to joining Alenia North America, Mr. Colunga ran The Ronald Colunga Company, LLC, an MRO Consulting service that he founded in February 2010. Prior to this, Mr. Colunga served as Vice President for Maintenance Repair and Overhaul for M7 Aerospace, LP, out of San Antonio, TX.

In this capacity, he served as the link for all of M7 Aerospace's Integrated Services for MRO, including an FAA Certified 145 Repair Station, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, U.S. Government Relations, Aero Structure Manufacturing, and Human Resource Services.

Immediately prior to joining M7, Mr. Colunga was Vice President for Business Development Support for SAFRAN USA, Inc. where he worked with individual SAFRAN companies on their military strategies for weapon system sustainment entering MRO markets. He served as the point of contact for development of partnering agreements with U.S. Air Force Depots for MRO for propulsion, equipment and defense products.

Mr. Colunga served over 33 years in varied USAF Logistics leadership positions including Logistics Plans, Aircraft Maintenance/Munitions, Base Supply and Transportation and worked with many different aircraft including the F-100, F-101, T-33, F-4, A-10, F-16 and C-130. Ronald R. Colunga last assignment was as the Air National Guard (ANG) Advisor to the Ogden Air Logistics Center Commander.

He wore the Aircraft Maintenance/Munitions Master Badge and the Senior Supply/Fuels Senior Badge. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences from Troy State University in Montgomery, AL and a Masters of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at National Defense University.
