Onur Air Selects Pratt & Whitney EcoPower® Engine Wash to Reduce Fuel Burn and CO2 Emissions

Onur Air signed a three-year exclusive agreement for Pratt & Whitney's environmentally friendly EcoPower® engine wash service for its fleet of A300, A320 and A330 aircraft.

PARIS AIR SHOW – June 20, 2011 – Onur Air signed a three-year exclusive agreement for Pratt & Whitney’s environmentally friendly EcoPower® engine wash service for its fleet of A300, A320 and A330 aircraft. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.

Under the agreement, Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries, the technical arm of Saudi Arabian Airlines, will provide the service at its EcoPower service center locations in Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners will also provide washes at various EcoPower service center locations.

“Pratt & Whitney’s EcoPower engine wash service supports our objective to improve and maintain engine performance, while reducing the fuel burn and CO2 emissions of our fleet powered by V2500®, CF6-80, PW4168 and Trent 772 engines,” said Tufan Özcan, Onur Air technical director.

“We are proud to extend the environmental and cost benefits of the EcoPower engine wash service to Onur Air,” said Ribhi Al-Husseini, Sales and Marketing director, Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries, Saudi Arabian Airlines technical arm.
