Argosy International Names Rocco President, COO

NEW YORK, August 22, 2011 – Argosy International has appointed Richard Rocco as its new president and COO. He has also been elected to Argosy’s board of directors.

Rocco reports to Paul Marks, Argosy’s Chairman and CEO. Rocco, who joined Argosy in 2009, previously served as the company’s CFO and Executive Vice President of Operations.

“Rich Rocco provides Argosy with a strong blend of financial acumen, leadership ability and manufacturing-industry experience,” said Marks. “He has proven management skills in manufacturing operations, information technology and strategic business planning – all of which have already made a significant, positive impact on Argosy.”

Prior to Argosy, Rocco held senior positions at Ernst & Young and at companies in the paper and textile manufacturing industries. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. John’s University. Rocco is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Public Accountants, and serves as a board member for the Half Hollow Hills Little League. He resides in Deer Park, NY with his wife and son.
