London, 1 September 2011: Air Europa, Spain’s second largest airline, has chosen A J Walter Aviation to provide power-by-the-hour support for its Airbus A330 Trent engine component accessories. This five-year agreement for two aircraft is AJW’s first contract with Air Europa. The agreement commenced in June and includes the location of a Main Base Kit in Madrid to support the airline’s operational efficiency.

“It was our speed, flexibility and willingness to invest in specific A330 Rolls Royce Trent engine components for Air Europa as part of AJW’s larger A330 investment programme that secured us the contract” commented Colin Craig, Director of Contract Services. AJW is the world’s largest independent provider of integrated aircraft support solutions for components, engines and consumables with complete flexibility when it comes to operational and commercial decisions. The Company also prides itself on its ability to make rapid decisions to meet immediate customer requirements based on its knowledge and experience of dealing with a customer base of more than 700 airlines annually. Alberto Linés, Air Europa Maintenance and Engineering Director adds “Both Air Europa and AJW were able to agree this support package quickly and efficiently and we have full confidence in AJW’s pedigree to deliver an excellent service to our airline.”

This new contract once again underlines the range and benefits of PBH, pooling and leasing options available from AJW. Already highly regarded for its award-winning 24/7 AOG and critical component services, AJW is now successfully developing its integrated consumables management and aircraft engine services business. AJW now supports over 375 aircraft under contract and is fast becoming the partner of choice to offer fully integrated support solutions to airline and MRO organisations seeking competitive advantage.
