Gulfstream to Showcase its Full Fleet and Award-Winning Product Support at NBAA in Las Vegas
SAVANNAH, Ga., September 20, 2011 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. will showcase its full fleet of aircraft, including the all-new Gulfstream G650 and G280, at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 2011 Meeting and Convention in Las Vegas from Oct. 10-12. The company’s exhibit in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center will focus on its wide-ranging product support initiatives.
For the first time in the company’s history, its static display will include one of two dedicated Airborne Product Support (APS) aircraft as well as the G650, G550, G450, G280 and G150. The G650 will be available for tours by reservation only.
Gulfstream’s all-new, 7,200-square-foot convention center exhibit will feature products and services that keep Gulfstream at the forefront of product support. These include:
• PlaneBook, a portable compact electronic document manager (EDM) that provides pilots access to critical flight information during flight;
• the Gulfstream computerized maintenance program, CMP.net;
• Gulfstream’s refurbishment capabilities, including avionics design, installation and support;
• Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) functionality, a navigational system that enhances safety, increases flight-planning options and improves airport access;
• PlaneDeck™, a cockpit retrofit that converts the Primary Flight Displays from cathode ray tube (CRT) to liquid crystal displays (LCD);
• PlaneParts™, a spare-parts subscription service that offers Gulfstream owners and operators a way to manage their yearly maintenance costs; and
• Total Technical Training, a hands-on aircraft maintenance training program.
Additionally, the exhibit will feature one-twentieth scale models of the full Gulfstream fleet, from the G150 through the G650, along with iPad™ stations specific to each aircraft model.
Media Briefing and Other Events
Gulfstream has a number of events planned for the conference, including a media briefing at noon on Sunday, Oct. 9. The 45-minute briefing will focus on the G280 and G650 programs, enhancements to the Gulfstream Product Support network and other news. It will be in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room N115. The G650 and G280 will be available for media tours from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10.
Also on Monday, the company will announce the military and commercial winners of the Gulfstream Outstanding Flight Award Program, which commemorates 52 years of superlative worldwide flight by Gulfstream aircraft. The winners will receive the Alber-Rowley Trophy, named for the first two pilots of the original Gulfstream I.
Gulfstream will conduct a regional operators’ forum from 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in Room N254 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The session will focus on updates and technical presentations relevant to Gulfstream operators.
