This no purchase necessary promotion coincides with this year's AOPA Aviation Summit and is intended to show support for the promotion of general aviation.

HARTFORD, CT – At the AOPA Aviation Summit in Hartford, CT, Signature Flight Support announced today that it is waiving handling fees for AOPA members’ piston aircraft for the month of October. This no purchase necessary promotion coincides with this year’s AOPA Aviation Summit and is intended to show support for the promotion of general aviation.

Aviators who would like to take advantage of the promotion need only present their AOPA membership card or AOPA MasterCard and Signature will waive the handling fees for that visit. The promotion does not include landing fees or other airport or government fees. Additionally, Signature is also offering its “Weekend Takeoff” program where piston aircraft can purchase fuel at a discount at all U.S. Signature locations on Saturdays and Sundays.

David Best, Chief Commercial Officer for Signature Flight Support stated, “Signature is dedicated to serving all aircraft and aviators, regardless of the size of the aircraft or the type of aviation fuel they use. We encourage AOPA members to give us a try on their next trip. Our October promotion makes it very easy for everyone to experience Signature’s world-class service.” He continued, “General aviation is the foundation of America’s aviation industry and we are excited to make this offering to the members of AOPA, the world’s largest general aviation membership organization.”

In support of general aviation, Signature is also sponsoring flight training for many of its employees in order for them to obtain their private pilots license. Best commented, “we are pleased to be able to provide our staff with the opportunity to become aviators. Our goal is for our staff to be closely aligned with the needs and wants of all of our customers and the best way to understand them is through experiencing the FBO as a customer.”

Signature is participating in the AOPA Aviation Summit again this year and has plans to support the major general aviation shows again next year including Sun-n-Fun in Lakeland, FL and EAA’s Airventure in Oshkosh, WI.
