Hawker Beechcraft Corp. reports loss for August

Hawker Beechcraft Corp. informed the U.S. Bankruptcy Court regarding its loss of $33.8 million during month of August. The company even reported total assets of $2.6 billion. Earlier in May, Hawker had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company is also in negotiations with Superior Aviation Beijing Co. Ltd. regarding a $1.79 billion acquisition of its civil aviation business. Out of the total court-approved negotiation, certain portion includes getting $50 million from Superior, assisting in maintaining its activities during the negotiation period. Earlier during the month, Bill Boisture, Chairman of the firm had stated that the company was close to a purchase deal.
