Good weather helped airlines get passengers to their destinations on time more often in June, with four out of five flights arriving within 15 minutes of scheduled times, the U.S. Department of Transportation said.

US Airways Group Inc. led other major U.S. carriers in on-time arrivals in June and had the fewest complaints of mishandled bags. US Airways flights were on time 86.2 percent of the time, while United Airlines was in last place with a 70 percent on-time rate in June.

US Airways also had the lowest rate for lost or damaged bags, with 2.2 complaints per 1,000 passengers. United came in last among network carriers, with 4.9 complaints per 1,000 travelers, the DOT said.
