Hawaiian Airlines is first in on-time arrivals

May 18-- Hawaiian Airlines, AirTran Airways and US Airways posted the highest on-time arrival percentages in March among U.S. carriers, a federal agency said.

American Eagle Airlines, American Airlines' regional affiliate, reported a March on-time arrival percentage slightly above the industry average; American Airlines' was below the industry average, the agency said.

The U.S. Department of Transportation's Bureau of Transportation Statistics said Hawaiian's March on-time arrival percentage of 92.46 ranked first, followed by AirTran's 90.89 percent and US Airways' 87.25 percent.

The on-time arrival percentage in March of American Eagle was 82.32, ranking it eighth of 15 carriers. American Airlines' on-time arrival percentage in March was 79.92, ranking it twelfth.

The industry average on-time arrival percentage in March was 82.19.

For the first three months of the year, Hawaiian, with an on-time arrival percentage of 92.29, ranked first, followed by second-place AirTran, 89.97, and third-place Delta Air Lines, 87.28.

American Airlines, which operates 16 flights a day at Tulsa International Airport, reported an on-time arrival percentage of 83.10 through the first three months of 2012. American Eagles' on-time percentage was 82.83 in the first three months.

The industry average on-time arrival percentage in the first three months was 83.96, the agency said.
