Atlanta airport starts charter flights to Cuba
Regular chartered flights to Cuba will be stated from Wednesday from the world's busiest airport, said Atlanta airport officials. Marazul Charters flights operated by Delta Air Lines, are nonstop services to Havana from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Earlier in the month of March, federal officials had revealed that eight airports like Atlanta, Chicago's O'Hare and Dallas/Fort Worth had secured federal permit for carrying out schedule charter flights to and from Cuba. It was further revealed that all types of travel will not be permitted. Only specific and purposeful travel would be allowed. Passengers who have close relatives in Cuba, involved in the medical or agricultural sectors, or even travel for educational and religious purpose would be permitted.
