BAGGAGE handlers at Liverpool's John Lennon Airport will continue to strike in the run-up to New Year, it has emerged.
The GMB union confirmed its intention to proceed with its discontinuous industrial action during this week.
The dispute follows the announcement of around 28-35 compulsory redundancies from employers Servisair.
The walk-out, for two hours each morning and afternoon on four days a week, has been in place for over a month.
A GMB spokesman told the Daily Post: "We took action over four days between 23-26 December, and will continue again from December 30-January 2. "We have yet to hear again from ACAS (mediation service) andServisair, but are willing to meet with either party if we are requested to."
