PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO OFFER ECONOMY PARKING FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY TRAVEL BEGINNING NOV. 22

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Nov. 17 -- The city of Palm Springs issued the following news release:

In an effort to accommodate increased visitors to Palm Springs during the Thanksgiving holiday, Palm Springs International Airport will once again offer additional parking.

The Airport's Economy Lot, located on the main roadway at Gene Autry Trail, will open on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 a.m. and will be available to only overnight travelers at a cost of just $6 each day.

Complimentary and convenient shuttle transportation will be provided from the Economy Lot to the curb of the main terminal from 4:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Nov. 23 & 24 and from 4:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Nov. 25. Shuttle service returning to the Economy Lot will only be available through noon on Nov. 29.

Due to large crowds expected at the Airport during the Thanksgiving holiday, it is recommended that passengers arrive at least 90 minutes ahead of scheduled flight to allow sufficient time to park, conduct airline check in and process through security screening.
