Thursday, the first time the company's largest plane, Boeing B747-8 aircraft landed at a U.S. commercial airport, O'Hare.

British Airways World Cargo operates the plane, a cargo freighter, which landed in Chicago at around 9:40 p.m. After its flight from London Stansted airport via Frankfurt, it arrived in Chicago. O'Hare collected support from the FAA for the B747-8 to operate at the airport, in September. Previous month, Boeing began transporting the Freighter model of its B747-8 to private carriers. In early 2012 the company is looking to transport its first B747-8 intercontinental traveler flying machine to Lufthansa. In a 3-class design, the intercontinental form will seat 467 travelers.
