(RTTNews) - BBA Aviation plc (BBA.L) Thursday said revenue for the four months to the end of October 2011 went up 8 percent, excluding the impact of currency fluctuations and fuel prices, thanks to a 5 percent rise in organic revenues.

Flight support revenues improved 8 percent on the impact of acquisitions and higher fuel prices, but declined 1 percent on an organic basis, and edged up 1 percent on a like-for-like basis. Aftermarket Services and Systems registered a 19 percent growth, of which 15 percent was organic.

Additionally, the company noted that Business & General Aviation activity slowed, but continued to grow in the third-quarter, with movements in North America inching up 0.5 percent and taking year-to-date growth to 3 percent. Commercial movements edged down in North America by 0.5 percent but went up 1 percent in Europe.
