The opening of the new Terminal B at Sacramento International Airport to passengers and flights is scheduled for October 6.

The new terminal was developed with an investment of $1 billion. It is expected that the five-year airport modernization project will serve current airport air carriers Southwest, Alaska, American Airlines, Frontier and Aeromexico. United, Delta and US Airways will not be included in this. These will remain in Terminal A. The land side of the new terminal is located near to the airport parking structures. It is situated where passengers will find ticket counters and kiosks, and 11 security checkpoint lanes. Retailers and restaurants, including Esquire Grill, Dos Coyotes, Jack's Urban Eats and more are comprised in the terminal.
