Tolmachevo Airport holds negotiations with leading passenger and cargo air companies
At the 17th World Route Development Forum, which took place in Berlin on October 2-4, 2011, Tolmachevo Airport held negotiations regarding the prospects for cooperation with new air companies and development of new air routes.
Delegations from the largest international airports, passenger and cargo air companies took part in the forum. The event attracted the record number of participants - over 2700 delegates, which represent 300 air companies and 800 airports, as well as a great number of tourist operators from all over the world.
Tolmachevo Airport's delegation headed by Director General Alexandr Borodin held about 40 meetings with representatives of the largest passenger and cargo air companies: Air Bridge Cargo, Air Berlin, Allitalia, Finnair, Lufthansa, Fly Dubai, Egypt Air, China Eastern Airlines, S7 Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines and other air carriers. In the course of negotiations it was agreed to increase the frequency of flights to Baku, Beijing, Frankfurt, Prague, Simferopol, Dubai; flights to Seoul, Shanghai, Cairo, Helsinki are about to be started in the nearest future.
Tolmachevo also concluded a contract with the world's leader in the sphere of strategic aviation planning - Airport Strategy and Marketing Ltd (ASM). Under the contract, ASM will work out a strategy to develop the passenger route network of the airport. In order to do this, the company will survey the market of air transportations and prepare proposals for foreign air carriers to open new destinations of flights.
