Pearson Airport labor dispute sparks delays

Oct. 7, 2011

Passengers experienced delays at Toronto's Pearson International Airport because of a labour dispute involving security screening guards.

Employees of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority caused hundreds of people to wait up to an hour to pass through security for domestic flights and those departing for the U.S.

Many flights were also delayed.

Air Canada officials were ushering some people through the security lines to ensure they made their flights.
