British Airways launches Fast Travel service
British Airways on Thursday announced that customers traveling through Gatwick will be the first in the UK to experience a new Fast Travel service. Part of the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Simplifying the Business Programme, the 'Fast Travel' initiative involves introducing automated and self-service capabilities into an airport to simplify and speed up the passenger experience. The carrier's check-in kiosks at Gatwick will now be able to print baggage tags and check travel documents to allow customers to flow more easily through the airport.
