Genesis Group Holdings, through Digital Comm and newly acquired Tropical Communications, said it has begun work at Miami International Airport.

As previously reported, the project is for the installation of fiber and coax cable throughout MIA.

Genesis Group Holdings said the first phase, expected to take little more than 3.5 weeks, is for the completion of the Distributed Antenna System in Terminals H and J, South Terminal, at MIA. The work is expected to continue on a phased in basis over the course of the next 12 months and is valued at more than $1 million to the company.

Genesis Group operates through its subsidiaries. The company provides turnkey operations in outside plant construction, wireless infrastructure, voice-data network technologies, utility infrastructure- water, sewer, electric, gas, fiber/copper buried and aerial cable. Its subsidiaries have master contracts with AT&T, Verizon, and other communications providers.
