United Services Announces Director, Aircraft Sales Appointment

Randall Crain becomes director - aircraft sales for United Services.

CHICAGO, IL - SEPTEMBER 27, 2005 - Garth Petersen, managing director of United Services, the global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business for United is pleased to announce the appointment of Randall Crain to director – Aircraft Sales.

Appointed in August 2005, Crain is responsible for the sales and leasing efforts for United’s spares and surplus aircraft and engines to maximize free cash flow for assets. Crain is located in San Francisco at the United Services Maintenance Center, a 2.9 million square foot facility dedicated to customer MRO of engines, landing gear, line maintenance, and high-tech components including avionics.

Crain has spent over 16 years at United in the maintenance and engineering division. His most recent assignment was that of group lead for sales operations. In this position, Crain was responsible for developing and coordinating processes related to customer engine inductions and customer proposals. Crain’s technical expertise was gained through a variety of roles in engineering and as a mechanic.

Crain possesses an airframe and power plant license from the Spartan School of Aeronautics, as well as a private pilot’s license.
