Boeing to get $88.9M for spare parts

The parts will be used for the F-18 series aircraft.

The U.S. Navy on Monday awarded an $88.9 million contract to a unit of Boeing Co. for new spare parts for the F-18 series aircraft.

Boeing (nyse: BA - news - people )'s subsidiary McDonnell Douglas will manufacture spares for the F-18's flight services systems.

The company will perform the work in St. Louis through October 2010. Shares of Boeing rose 27 cents to $96.90.
