Development Committees to Supply GSE for Casper/Natrona County International Airport

CASPER, WY — Casper/Natrona County International Airport officials announced today that Casper Area Economic Development Alliance (CAEDA) and the Economic Development Joint Powers Board (JPB) will each provide up to $25,000 to purchase ground support equipment for the Airport’s use.

“CAEDA and the Joint Powers Board have always been tremendous supporters of air service development in our community,” said Glenn Januska, Airport Manager. “The ground support equipment purchase will help keep the costs for carriers like Allegiant Air low, and will provide one more ‘tool’ in our ‘toolbox’ to help attract and support air service. CAEDA and the JPB purchasing the equipment directly provides the Airport a lot more flexibility in the use of the equipment than if the Airport purchased the equipment outright.” The funds will be used to purchase a baggage tug, six baggage carts, and one belt loader.
