MILWAUKEE --

Airtran is getting ready to more than one hundred new jobs to Milwaukee.

The company said it needs more people to support all the flights that go in and out of Milwaukee.

In April, the airline wants 50 pilots based out of Milwaukee to better serve its flights and at least 50 flight attendants will also call Milwaukee home.

The flight base will employ around 300 people, from the pilots and flight attendants to customer service, human resources, maintenance, and sales staff.

According to the company, Milwaukee will join the Atlanta headquarters as the only U.S. operations base.

Flight crews can now bid to move to Milwaukee, and those selections will be made based on seniority.

Airtrain estimates Milwaukee's total payroll will reach $11.5 million next year.
