JBT Corporation (NYSE: JBT) today announced that its JBT AeroTech business was awarded a contract in excess of $6.5 million by Beijing Capital International Airport Company, Ltd. The contract is for the supply of Tempest aircraft deicing vehicles equipped with the environmentally friendly AirFirst(TM) forced air system. These units will be deployed at the Beijing Capital International Airport in Beijing, China.
"We are pleased that Beijing Capital International Airport Company chose our Tempest deicers for their growing aircraft servicing operations," said John Lee, Vice President for JBT AeroTech Division. "This order represents our strong commitment to supplying airport ground support equipment for the dynamic Chinese commercial aviation market."
JBT AeroTech anticipates delivery to be complete by the fourth quarter of 2010.
