Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport to Get $1.4M grant
Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport has been approved for a federal grant of $1.46 million.
Gulfport and the Jackson International Airport will receive a combined $3.2 million for physical improvements.
Gulfport-Biloxi will use the money to rehabilitate a taxiway and improve runway lighting. At Jackson, $1.75 million will be used to improve the terminal building, rehabilitate runway lighting and acquire an interactive training system.
The separate grant packages will be administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
