Cars displaying bumper stickers in support of US President George W. Bush that were parked at Denver International Airport have allegedly been vandalised by an Air Force Reserve Lieutenant Colonel who could now face criminal charges.

According to local police, between December and June Lt. Col. Alexis Fecteau, director of operations for reserve forces at the National Security Space Institute in Colorado Springs, vandalised a minimum of 10 vehicles at the airport. Fecteau apparently turned himself in on Friday (5 August) after being tracked down by a detective who had left a bait car equipped with a camera at the airport which was also vandalised.

According to The Associated Press, Fecteau is suspected of blacking out the Bush bumper stickers and spray-painting an expletive and the President's name on the vehicles.
