Oklahoma Airpark Auction Set After Accumulating $1.5 Million in Debts

A 1976 Ford pickup, a forklift and 26 airplane jacks will be among the items sold to help pay off the debts of the Downtown Airpark.

A 1976 Ford pickup, a forklift and 26 airplane jacks will be among the items sold to help pay off the debts of the Downtown Airpark.

An auction to sell the assets at the Downtown Airpark is scheduled for Tuesday at the airport, 1701 S Western.

The airpark was put in a receivership after it had accumulated more than $1.5 million in debts. The airport, owned by the Amis family, once employed more than 140 people.

Other items up for auction include tools, golf carts, computers, aircraft tools, ladders and lawn tools. Downtown Airpark signs and artwork also will be for sale. The auction runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dakil Auctioneers Inc. is handling the liquidation.
