Air Canada has launched its daily direct service from New York's JFK airport to Calgary, Alberta with a new Embraer E190 jet.

The airline said that the Embraer jets are equipped with Air Canada's new personal entertainment system and feature 8.9-inch wide digital in-seat monitors with touch-screen controls offering audio and video on demand programming at every seat.
