US Airways Pilots Elect Union Head
US Airways pilots elected Jack Stephan as the head of their labor union, replacing Bill Pollock.
Near the top of his priority list will be the task of merging pilot groups at US Airways and America West.
Pilots from the two carriers are figuring out how to mesh their seniority lists, in a field where seniority determines everything from pay to how fun of a layover city you get.
Stephan had been spokesman for the US Airways' pilots union through its last trip in bankruptcy.
