Mesa Air Group Reports Third Quarter Earnings

The carrier reported net income and earnings per share for the third quarter.

Mesa Air Group Inc has reported its financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2006.

The carrier reported net income and earnings per share for the third quarter of USD10.9m and USD0.25 per share on a diluted basis, respectively, as compared to net income of USD17.1m and USD0.40 earnings per share for the same period of the fiscal year 2005.

Operating revenues amounted to USD339.0m, an increase of USD40.5m or 13.6% compared with the prior year.

Mesa said that the growth in revenues was primarily a result of the year-over-year increase in reimbursed fuel expenses.
