Continental Launches New Latin-American Service

US Continental Airlines announced new nonstop Saturday service between New York at Newark Liberty International Airport and Roatan, Honduras, beginning December 16. This new route is pending government approval.

Continental will operate a Boeing 737-700 with space for 12 customers in first class and 112 in coach on the flight to Roatan, located on the northern coast of Honduras and a favorite among scuba, golf and sport- fishing enthusiasts.

Continental Airlines is the world's fifth largest airline. The company, together with Continental Express and Continental Connection, serves 154 domestic and 138 international destinations. More than 400 additional points are served via SkyTeam alliance airlines.

With more than 43,000 employees, Continental has hubs serving New York, Houston, Cleveland and Guam, and together with Continental Express, carries approximately 61 million passengers per year.
